Signs of the apocalypse: A blog by request

I have a confession to make. I like Starbucks. Frappucinos and mochas and chai tea lattes are yummy! That said, it is revolting to me that there is a Starbucks in the Louvre. I had to Google it to see for myself. Keep them in the bookstores, but keep them out of art museums. What’s next? McDonald’s at the Taj Mahal? (Please don’t tell me there is one. I don’t know if I could take it.)

I own a coffee maker, however, apparently, I can’t use it. The one time I tried, I put the filter in, scooped the coffee in, and proceeded to spill grounds all over the coffee maker and my kitchen counter. I haven’t tried to use it since. I suppose I’m coffee-brewing challenged!
