Bad luck, Chuck

Why, hello there.

Having a good March? Really? Good.

When last we spoke, I’d made an inexpensive tax boo boo that cost me more time and pride than the $30 I sent to the state. They already cashed the check, by the way.

The next morning, a few minutes after posting my last entry, shoulders strapped with an overnight bag and some random other stuff I was taking to Boston, I headed down the stairs out of my apartment - and proceeded to fall and slide down the last few via my ass. Because nothing quite prepares you for four hours in a car than hurting your but. Good times.

Since my parents were watching Colbert for the day I was gone, I picked them up so they could drive me to work and take him back with them. It was especially windy that morning, and as I got out of the car, I bumped into Dad (on his way to the front seat now that I’d vacated) and spilled the entire contents of my purse on the ground in front of the office building. Cash, credit cards, and the James Blunt tickets went flying. Dad and I chased everything down and Mom scolded me for using one of those metal cigarette cases as my wallet. (No, I don’t smoke. I just like how small the case is in case I don’t want to bring a purse with me.)

In the grand scheme of things, the events of those twelve or so hours aren’t so bad, but bad things come in threes, and I was happy when it turned out that my bad luck seemed to end after my driver’s license was (safely?) ensconced back in the cheap metal case.

I suppose I should write a review of the concert, if not for you, for me. Sadly, most people I know consider James Blunt “sad bastard music”. It’s not the case, dammit! But that’s a blog for another day.

Sorry, but that made me laugh. I’m sorry you hurt yourself though. As for James Blunt I kind of like him. I’m not a huge fan or anything but some of his songs are pretty good.

@Colin - It’s okay, it’s laugh-worthy :) And that James Blunt comment was way better than another one that found its way to my inbox!

@Luka - The butt is all better, although I can think of tons of people I’d like to kiss my ass (and not in the way you meant ;)
