Treinta y Nueve: Neurotic to the bone, no doubt about it

Worked till 6:30 tonight and obsessed over the following:

  • It’s snowing? But, what if it sticks? I just bought Colbert, I can’t drive him in the snow! What? There’s traffic? Great. Just great. Stupid late night. Stupid weather.
  • Hey, Colbert doesn’t have an inspection sticker! Oh no! I better call the dealer! Dealer says get him inspected when the permanent registration comes. What if that’s wrong? I’ll just spend four hours after work Googling for a definitive answer. I can’t find one! Oh look… here’s something in my contract with the dealer. Fourteen days after permanent registration. Hmm.
  • Oh my God! I thought I just couldn’t access my voicemail, but my phone isn’t sending texts! Or letting me make outgoing calls! Or letting me call AT&T Customer Care! Did I not pay a bill? Of course not. I always pay. Why won’t the site let me email Customer Care? What the hell?! Oh… perhaps I should shut the phone off and turn it back on. Gee, that worked, what d’ya know. Wish I’d thought of that before missing the call from the doctor’s office.
  • They screwed up my paperwork for my car loan? I have to go sign new paperwork? Oh, all right… but there’s going to be traffic after work. Darn it. And I should probably get gas and not let my tank get down to E. New car, new rules.
  • It’s freezing. The door hinge is now squeaking, not popping. It must be the weather, right? What if it isn’t the weather? Maybe Colbert is diseased.
  • I have laundry to do! Ugh, so much laundry. But Saturday is the anniversary of Lennon’s death, so it’s off to Strawberry Fields. I should start listening to Beatles songs on the iPod. Maybe I can do laundry Saturday morning. I need a heavier jacket if we’re going to hang out all day. Oh, and I should charge my camera. Too much to do!

I am neurotic. Yes, yes I am. Let’s ignore the fact that it’s only Wednesday, and I’ve already managed to freak out about enough things to get me to the weekend.

I hope that you, reader, are way more laid-back and chill than I am. And if so? Help a gal out! I need tips.
